Our Team

The team at SoCal Breathe Free Sinus & Allergy Centers is made up of board-certified professionals that are experienced in treating a variety of ENT-related issues.

  • Matt D. Hershcovitch, MD – Our physician, Dr. Matt D. Hershcovitch, is a double board-certified fellowship-trained physician. He specializes in ENT care as well as facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Hershcovitch graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) with a Nuclear Engineering degree and has also studied and trained at the State University of New York, the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, and Stanford University.
  • Paul Schalch Lepe, MD, FACSDr. Schalch Lepe is a double board-certified physician specializing in disorders affecting the ears, nose, and throat, as well as sleep medicine. He is highly skilled in performing minimally invasive nasal procedures in an office-based setting. This approach allows for efficient and effective treatment while minimizing patient discomfort and recovery time. Alongside his expertise in nasal procedures, he is well-versed in diagnosing and treating allergies, sinus pressure, deviated septum, eustachian tube dysfunction, rhinitis, sleep disorders and other related conditions.
  • Rebecca Geoula, PA-C – As one of our Physician Assistants, Rebecca Geoula, PA-C specializes in ENT care. After earning her Bachelor of Arts from the University of California Los Angeles, she earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Southern California University of Health Sciences.
  • Roxanne Fritz, PA-C – As one of our Physician Assistants, Roxanne Fritz, PA-C has PA experience in a range of surgical settings, from general surgery and trauma to hepatopancreatic biliary surgery. She earned her Bachelor of Biology from Western Carolina University while working as a paramedic. After that, she earned her Master of Science of Physician Assistant Studies at Wingate University.
  • Mari Hareyan, PA-C – As a highly motivated and skilled physician assistant with a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from California Baptist University, my passion for healthcare runs deep. With my previous experience as an EMT in both the prehospital and hospital setting for 3 years, I have gained invaluable knowledge and expertise in the field.
  • Gabrielle Dunn, PA-CGabrielle Dunn is a certified physician assistant from Indianapolis, Indiana. She graduated from Butler University in Indianapolis for both her Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences and her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies. Prior to working at Breathe Free, she worked in joint replacement surgery in Chicago for 5 years
  • Jillian Kerzner, PA-C – Jillian Kerzner is a dedicated Physician Assistant from Raleigh, NC. After graduating from UNC-Chapel Hill, Jillian honed her skills in pediatrics at Duke University Hospital before furthering her education at South College in Nashville, TN, for PA School. Driven by a deep-rooted commitment to improving lives, Jillian approaches each patient encounter with empathy and a focus on individualized treatment plans. Beyond her professional endeavors, Jillian enjoys spending time outdoors with her friends and family, reading a good book on the beach, and trying new restaurants.
  • Marley Nielson, PA-C – As one of our Physician Assistants,  Marley Nielson is a certified physician assistant from Pocatello, Idaho. She graduated from Idaho State University with both her Bachelor’s degree in Biology and her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies. She has been practicing in the field of Otolaryngology since 2019 and joined SoCal Breathe Free after moving from Idaho to California.
  • Melissa Walker, PA-CMelissa Walker is a Physician Assistant specializing in the practice of ENT medicine (otolaryngology). At Capitol Breathe Free, she enjoys seeing the quality of life changes that result from managing her patients’ sinus and allergy symptoms through both minimally invasive procedures and considered medical management. Prior to focusing her medical practice in otolaryngology, Melissa spent four years practicing in Emergency Medicine and Urgent Care.
    Melissa received her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Shenandoah University and a Master’s degree in Counseling and Development from George Mason University.
    In her leisure time, Melissa enjoys spending time with her family, seeing live music, traveling, hiking, and yoga.
